A clean and simple display of all things white.

I can’t say that the rest of my house is as neat and tidy as this picture of my display shelves, but little by little progress has been made.  When it comes to tackling a project or the chore list, I tend to start on something small to motivate me to keep going.  In the midst of cleaning and organizing, the forgotten last remnant of Christmas decorations was finally taken down this week.  Yes, I did say Christmas.

After a visit to Fran’s Chocolates new retail space {I wrote about it in the last blog post here}, a stop at Pacific Galleries and Second Use are next. These two retail establishments are located in the Seattle Industrial District about two miles north of Fran’s Chocolates.

The Industrial District is located just beyond CenturyLink Field {Seahawks football/Sounders soccer stadium} and Safeco Field {Mariners baseball stadium}.  The Port of Seattle is to the right.

the warmth from the wood stove,
Christmas decorations in the house,

French Cookware, Cookbooks & Other Things

A visit with my good friend Ruthie Cook became a morning photo shoot of her beautiful French cookware and other things.  It all started with the conversation about her bike travel through Central Europe during the summer of 1961.  Along with her travel, the introduction to the cuisine of Europe became the inspiration of her retail store specializing in European cookware.  Her beautiful French collection have brought enjoyment to her and all who come to visit.
