. . .
The rush is on for me to get everything done in the next two days before Christmas! When it came to gift wrapping I kept the packaging for my homemade Christmas gifts as simple as possible by staying mainly with white wrapping paper and red twine and ribbons.
.
Four different types of sweet treats were made.
.
coconut & almond macaroons
.
chocolate crinkle cookies
.
gingerbread cookies, recipe here
.
fleur de sel caramels, recipe here
.
packaging supplies:
wooden trays {9 ½” x 5 ¼” x 1 ½”}, Williams-Sonama
glassine bags {3¾” x 6¾”}
clear cellophane bags {6″ x 3¼” x 13½”}
red baker’s twine
printed labels
stapler
.
Fill glassine bags with cookies and caramels, fold down the openings and staple a label to each bag to identify the contents.
.
.
.
Each tray of cookies were then wrapped in clear cellophane bags and tied with red baker’s twine.
.
.
.
Other homemade goodies included in the gift packages were plum jam, blueberry jam, and bread.
.
.
Homemade gifts are a joy to give and wonderful to receive.
