Be inspiring, creative, fearless YOU

Be inspired be inspiring-5

You are an inspiration to someone {if you know it or not}.  There are people that I have known for years and others for a short time, but they all have touched my life and inspired me in many ways… Thank You for being a part of my life!

.Be Fearless

Mistakes are a good thing?!  They reveal something about us, open new doors, make us better, and build our character.  Let’s embrace it.

Be organized-3

Be organized

These storage boxes from Present & Correct are sturdy and pretty.   A good motivator to clean up and clear out things.

. .

Be creative

This is a whimsical and simple illustration of art supplies {source}.  To me, if you can draw a heart, you’re an artist.  Fill a blank piece of paper full of hearts and post it on your inspiration board, the refrigerator or frame it up.  For me, I enjoy taking 10 to 15 minutes to just “doodle” a simple picture.  With each new picture drawn, the confidence and creativity level will grow just a tiny bit more.  Go for it!

.

Be Yourself

Classic quote and a great reminder, there is not another person like you.

.Grace Anderson-Skari

Do you iron bedsheets and pillow cases?  I didn’t until I met Grace Anderson-Skari (I will usually iron the pillow cases and maybe the sheets).  I will remember Grace for the simple things such as ironing, fresh linens and cookies, as well as the love of family, strength of faith and beauty of spirit.

Christian Dior spring-summer 2013 haute couture collection displayed the coming of spring beautifully.  This was the Creative Director Raf Simons second haute couture collection for Dior.  The models emerged walking up the steps from the floor below to be surrounded by mounds of  boxwood hedges and trees.  The collection was light and airy, with layers of tulle, fine fabrics, embroidery, beads and flowers in vivid and pastel hues.  “I wanted to do a very self-explanatory collection this season” said Simons. “I wanted it to literally be about the season; to be about the very idea of spring.”

Valentine treat bags

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

These Valentine treat bags are quick, simple and inexpensive to make from  regular school notebook papers.

step 1     SUPPLIES:  notebook papers (one sheet will make 2 treat bags),  glue stick, scissors and stickers

step 2     Cut one sheet of notebook paper in half horizontally.  Each piece will measure 8″w by  5 1/4″ h (approximately).

step 3      Along one of the two short sides, make a fold about 3/4″ in from the edge and apply glue in that small area from top to bottom.

step 4     Bring the opposite edge of the paper to the folded line and fold over the sticky glue section of the paper.

step 5     To make the flat bottom of the bag, make a fold about an inch from the edge, forming a crease.  Open the base to reveal two triangles opposite each other.  Press down and flatten them.

step 6     See picture  as to where to apply glue (along the long open edges of the triangles and just one of the two bottom edges of the paper between the two triangles.

step 7     Starting with the bottom edge without the glue, fold about a half inch in towards the opposite edge.

step 8     Repeat  step 7 on the other bottom edge that has the sticky glue on it.  They will overlap each another about a quarter of an inch.  At the top of the bag trim it using decorative scissors.

step 9     Fill the bag with treats, fold the top over and seal it with a sticker.
