Summer time!
It’s warm weather, longer days, outdoor entertaining, camping, flip flops, and popsicles.
Back in June, right at the start of the summer season, our family decided to take a road trip to Seabrook, Washington. A week after the kids finished the last day of school, we packed up and headed west. To see trips from previous years, click here and/or on Facebook. The weather at the beach was truly incredible with temperature in the hight 60s / low 70s and blue sky {“tropical” weather here in the Northwest}. We’ve been going to Seabrook from almost the time the town was established ten years ago. Once there the pace of life slowed down significantly. We spent a lot of time strolling on the beach, walking through town, exploring the trails and relaxing around the house, the pool and/or the hot tub.
Grace at the beach and enjoying it all … sun, sand, and salty air.
.
The soccer ball got a lot of playing time with Bill and Caleb every time they were at the beach.
.
The kids enjoying the simple things in life.

During our morning walk, we came upon an area scattered with feathers left by seagulls from the night before.
.
.
Exploring and discovering.
A tote bag full of driftwood to take home for a craft project or two or three…
Spending a little bit of quiet time at one of my favorite little spots out on the deck early in the morning with a cup of coffee and reading materials.
What a beautiful night it was to see the sun setting on our last night at Seabrook before heading back home.

On one of our many walks at the beach. Hannah took this picture without us knowing at the time. Our anniversary is coming up in August, and it will be 21 years . . . God have blessed us in so many ways.
. . . . . . . . . . . .
We hope you are having a wonderful summer!
