We are in the midst of summer and enjoying the warm weather and lots of sunshine. Memories are being made and more than enough pictures have been taken and sent out to be shared.
Here is a little snapshot of our summer so far, staying cool, in, near and around water….

One of the first things my kids asked me to do when school got out was to put the pool together. It’s an above ground pool big enough to take a dip in and cool off on hot days.
They have been spending a good amount of time having fun outside in the pool swimming and floating.

When the temperature rises, our little quiet town becomes a beach town with people in tank tops, bikinis, shorts, and flip flops. Check out this picture of people having a great time floating the river last month.
Caleb and Grace went for a walk with Bill and our dog Glory down at our friend’s farm early one morning. By the time they reached the river, the temptation got the best of them and without hesitation, followed Glory right into the river… boots and all.

We always look forward to spending time at the beach. It’s our family annual trip. Once there, the days are pretty lazy…go to the beach or stay at the house. The community at Seabrook is a familiar place for the kids to wander and explore with their friends on bikes or by walking. To see our trip to the beach from previous years, here and here.
We arrived late in the afternoon to the beach house. Once settled in, the unwinding took over as we sat out on the deck and savored the warmth of the sun and the view of God’s creation. As the evening moved in, the blue sky slowly changed to deep red, orange, and yellow colors as the sun began to set.
The ocean water temperature was in the 50s {°F}, but that didn’t stop Caleb from going in.
We look forward to being back next…
