A girly garden birthday party is about being outside with friends, having fun, and being surrounded by pretty “girly” things.

Essential items I used for Hannah’s birthday party.

paper lanterns tied with ribbons
ice cream cake
extra-large tissue paper flowers
paper shoes as goodie bags
beauty products and accessories
French bistro chairs
bench
pillows
flowers and greeneries from the garden

The summer when Hannah turned 12 years old {6 years ago}, she wanted to have her party under the plum tree in the backyard.  From the time when she was a baby, the tree was a place to sit under, to swing on, to climb up, and to play under.  The branches draped down just enough to enclose the area to make it into a natural playhouse.  For the birthday party, the beautiful tree was decorated with large green paper lateens, paper flowers, and ribbons.

The table setting was simple with layers of colors, patterns and textures.  A square, green, paper plate was used with a white round paper plate to give depth to each table setting.  Two  different paper napkins were place together at the center along with a pretty paper shoe {diy here} that I filled with beauty products for the girls to have fun with at the table.  Rice Krispies treats with pink sprinkles wrapped in cellophane bags and tied with ribbon were displayed on cake stands.

Flowers and fruit tree branches from the garden were gathered together and  arranged on the table in vases.
