Within just a few days after school got out and summer break began, our family packed up and headed East to Montana and Wyoming. On the drive through Yellowstone National Park, we were alert and ready to spot any animals that might appear and just soak in the beautiful scenery.
We entered Yellowstone National Park at the Northeast entrance. The picture above was taken after our drive up to 11,000 feet in elevation and looking down to the valley below. Skiers and hikers were seen enjoying the last of the June snow.

This was my 6th time to Yellowstone National Park and it’s just as beautiful and wonderful as all the other times, but extra special with my family. Bill said as we left the park, “The next time we come here, I want to do some fly fishing.”
